Why should your guild should join the Creative Crafts Council?
The Creative Crafts Council (CCC) has been in existence since 1954. We are a a 501(c)(3) umbrella organization of eleven crafts guilds in the Washington DC area that organizes a biennial crafts show held at Strathmore Mansion in Rockville. The sponsoring Guilds are the National Capital Art Glass Guild, the Ceramics Guild of Bethesda, Montgomery Potters, Washington Guild of Goldsmiths, The Kiln Club, National Enamelist Guild, Potomac Fiber Arts Guild, the Fiber Arts Study Group, The Capital Area and Montgomery County Woodturners, the Washington Guild of Woodworkers, and the Guild of Book Workers, Potomac Chapter.

The Creative Crafts Council board consists of a representative from each guild. Each Guild is required to pay an annual fee of $100 and provide one representative to attend and vote at board meetings. The tasks of the board includes (but is not limited to)

- Discounted application fees for your members to the CCC biennial exhibition ($35 instead of $50 per applicant)
- Creative control of the show event & the jurors selected
- Use of the guild calendar to advertise activities
- Marketing opportunities through social media
Responsibilities
The Creative Crafts Council board consists of a representative from each guild. Each Guild is required to pay an annual fee of $100 and provide one representative to attend and vote at board meetings. The tasks of the board includes (but is not limited to)
- Assisting with the organization of the exhibition (including organizing the jurying, online application, data management, marketing and site setup and take down processes)
- Acting as a liaison between the CCC and the guild
- Assist with fundraising when and if necessary
