Creative Crafts Council 30th Biennial Exhibition

The Creative Crafts Council presents some of the finest craft in the Mid-Atlantic region at our 30th Biennial Exhibition. The juried exhibition, located at the Mansion at Strathmore in Bethesda, will be on display from June 6 to July 26, 2015. The public is cordially invited to meet the artists and jurors in person at the Opening Reception on June 11, 2015 from 7:00-9:00pm. Awards and prizes will be presented at the Opening Reception festivities.

Our 2015 Jurors

Nora Atkinson is the new Lloyd Herman Curator of Craft at the Renwick Gallery. Atkinson comes to the museum from the Bellevue Arts Museum in Bellevue, Washington, where she was a curator since 2006 with a focus on art, craft and design.

Frederick L. Wall is a furniture maker and sculptor who works primarily in wood and metal. Wall was a professor at the Corcoran College of Art & Design for over 30 years before retiring in 2012.

Shana Kroiz is a jewelry and enamel artist. She is currently the Special Events and Workshop Coordinator of the Maryland Institute College of Art Jewelry Center, which she founded in 1992, and was previously the Director of the 92nd Street Y’s Jewelry Center in NYC.
